| With the Tehachapi's locked in under a thick layer of cloud cover 19 copies of Union Pacific's first class varnish emerge into the warm afternoon sunlight at Warren, located on the eastern slope of the Tehachapi grade between Mojave and Cameron. Soon this impressive collection of equipment, most hold overs from Union Pacific's famed 'Streamliner' era of the 1950s, will be a blur across the floor of the Mojave Desert as the train heads for the LA Basin. |
