Remarks & Notes |
When the weather turns cold, the track has alot of strain put on it with the contracting steel. Many joints can come apart, as is the case here at MP 268.4 on the CN Dubuque Sub. M337 has slowed down to 10 mph as 3 maintenance of way personnel watch the train over 3 pull parts between MP 268 and MP 269. Bars with 1 bolt in them is the only thing keeping this train moving on this cold day. Time will be taken behind 337 to fix the 3 joints.
