Mile marker 0.51 of the former Jersey Central High Bridge Branch still marks the Thomas Street overpass in High Bridge. The Thomas Street overpass is located 0.51 miles from the junction of the CNJ Main Line at High Bridge, now NJ Transit's Raritan Valley Line. Abandoned in 1980, the High Bridge Branch has been converted into a rail-trail and is now known as the Columbia Trail. Not many remnants of the railroad remain along the trail, but this hand-painted mile marker soldiers on.
