While PTC and modernization upgrades have all but wiped out their N&W CPL brethren on the Pocahontas Division, most of the Southern-style color lights still stand in between interlockings, giving passing trains a heads-up on what they need to do at the next control point. But even they are not safe in 2016, as C&S crews have erected the #2 track signal and box, and a concrete base stands by #1 track at the automatic block signals in Kermit, WV on the Kenova District.
