Passenger season is two weeks from the end as the Alaska Railroad's premier train, the Denali Start rolls south about 45 min from the its destination of Anchorage after an all day 12 hr run from Fairbanks. This location is a few miles north of the siding of Eklutna and right beside the Glenn Hwy but is very challenging to shoot. I've wanted to figure out how to get this shot for years, but between the highway and the tracks is a permafrost bog. Will, this year it was such a warm summer I just put on my Keens and shorts and waded out there into the water above my knees to get this angle. I do believe it was worth the effort!
