Remarks & Notes
Blue hour relic. Cushing Stone 264 is one of only 11 EMD Model 40's built. This unit sits at an active stone quarry along Rt5s in Upstate NY. The unit has been inactive for a number of years as it's connection to the outside world via the former New York Central West Shore was removed by CSX in the mid 2000's. This quarry once supplied a large amount of ballast to Penn Central and Conrail. The unit carries SN 1834 and was built in 1942. It is the former US Army 7403 and Buffalo Slag 36.
