"The Last Western Maryland Locomotive" is appropriately stenciled on the side to the left of the cab number, 14 years after the demise of the WM. No. 6573 was built in August, 1971 as the WM No. 3798. It was later acquired by the Indiana Southern, and numbered 4041, and is still running today, nearly 45 years after it rolled out of EMD. Coupled to the rear is GP30M No. 4239, built in October, 1962 as the B&O No. 6918. The 4239 ended up on the Puget Sound & Pacific in Oregon, numbered as their 3005.
