In a scene reminiscent of her time serving the Great Western Railroad in Colorado, 2-10-0 #90, is seen clearing the ROW at Strasburg with a 1902 built Russell snow plow. Numbered "66", the plow is former Buffalo & Susquehanna Railroad (B&S) which was purchased in 1966 by Strasburg from the Wellsville, Addison & Galeton Railroad (WA&G) 1956-1979. The return trip would see #90 with a revenue freight (two covered hoppers) inserted between the engine and plow followed by the first public excursions of 2016 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
If there is one heritage railroad in the U.S. that has a unique reputation, it is the Strasburg Railroad. In operation since 1832, the line is one of the most recognizable Eastern U.S. heritage railroad in the world.
