The former PRR Octoraro branch was severely damaged by Hurricane Agnes in 1972, and was abandoned north of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Here a mixed train excursion on the Octoraro Railway executes a “rare mileage” move as it has backed onto the bridge that spans the Brandywine Creek at Chadds Ford. This was the first train on the bridge in twelve years, and very likely the last ever.
