Sunrise at Ferguson's Trestle. DRGW 487's Fireman is brightly illuminated by his red-hot fire as Flanger Extra 487 heads west over Ferguson's Trestle at sunrise, on a mission to clear the line to Cumbres Pass.

This and many other scenes of a bygone era were re-enacted on a photo charter in March of 2016, organized by the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad, and sponsored by 40 photographers from around the world.
