St. Pattie's Day 2016, but the luck of the Irish isn't with the EK, or coal in general today, or much at all in recent history. The diligent GRS signal stands guard still in Beattyville, KY, though few trains pass its location these days. The old depot is still in good shape, track forms, a single desk and a few basic items litter it's interior giving hint that at least a little something still goes on here on the railroad, but not much as one can see from the rust coating once always shiny rails.
