| Metlink train 1615 from Masterton to Wellington crosses Hutt River at Silverstream. DFT locomotives have now replaced DC locomotives. These commuter trains pass through Rimutaka tunnel which is 8.5Km (5.5 miles) long which requires special fire suppression equipment fitted to locomotives on passenger trains. |
