| "CSX/LIRR Rail Train from the Hudson Valley Writers' Center"
CSX B749 passes Metro North's Philipse Manor Station with outlawed Q701 Rail Train in tow during the middle at a breezy day. This continuous welded rail train is headed for Long Island Rail Road to be used in future track work programs. This train running on Metro North during daylight is an absolute rarity, as these trains usually run at night. The vantage point in which this photo was shot from was made available by the folks at the Hudson Valley Writers' Center, which own the old station house. Special thanks to them. |
