"Extended Lake Shore Limited at Tilcon New York (Clinton Point)" Dust is blown into the air as Amtrak's New York City bound Lake Shore Limited hustles through Tilcon New York's Clinton Point Plant on Metro North's Hudson Line. The train sports 3 extra cars on the rear; the "Pacific Cape" sleeper, the "Corridor Clipper" inspection car and the "American View" Viewliner Inspection car carrying the markers. The Tilcon plant was served by rail many years ago but has since relied on trucks and barges to export what is excavated. There are no rail photos at this location until today! Obtaining this photo required some phone calls, PPE and escort through the facility by the Plant Manager. Special thanks goes to those at Tilcon that made this shot possible.
