Steamlocomotive Ec 2/5 # 28 "Genf" (left) is the oldest operational in Switzerland, built in 1858 by Emil Kessler in Esslingen/Germany for the Schweizerische Centralbahn SCB (Hauenstein line Basel-Olten). It is exhibited in the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne beside a stagecoach pulled by 5 horses, demonstrating the evolution of the north south traffic over the Alps.
