Remarks & Notes
The Builder's Plate Calls 'Em Dash 8-40BP, Not P40DC

Amtrak San Diegan 774 departs from the Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center. Leading this San Diego-bound train is Amtrak Dash 8-40BP 810, pulling a string of six Amfleet cars and a Heritage baggage car, with Amtrak F40PH 235 on the rear. AMTK 810 was built by GE in June 1993 and was, at this time, still a novelty on the San Diegans, which were normally pulled by EMD F40PHs. AMTK 810 was sold to New Jersey Transit in 2007, becoming NJTR 4802. (Santa Ana, California – November 1993)
