| The DL class were built 2010 - 2014 in China by CNR Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock and have MTU engines producing about 3600HP. The train is passing the Steam Incorporated depot at Paekakariki which was formerly a NZ Railways facility for locos assisting trains over steep grades into the capital and also a electric train terminus. |
