This past weekend Colorado got a doozie of a spring snowstorm. Denver only saw a few inches of accumulation due to melting, but just a few miles outside of town as the tracks enter the foothills near Tunnel 1, the snow was light and fluffy and piling up. Amtrak's westbound California Zephyr was the first train through this stretch of track in at least a few hours, so #5 was plowing the line as they cruised upgrade.
