Remarks & Notes |
This is something very interesting and somehow unique! During two days of the Festival of Steam 2016 on the CFBS (Chemin de Fer de la Baie de Somme), on of the two normal gauge shuttle trains between Noyelles-sur-Mer and Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme had one steam engine on each side: - the 2-6-0, a former Norwegian NSB engine, built in 1919 by Nydquist & Holm and preserved at the "Kent & East Sussex Railway" "K&ESR";
- the little 0-4-0 engine "Fred" built in 1925 by Avonside for the "Buxton Lime Industries" and preserved at the "StoomCentrum Maldegem" in Belgium. |
