After several days of dark, cloudy weather, the sun finally came out and illuminated the scenic Columbia River Gorge. With the hills just beginning to show their springtime green, a westbound UP manifest on its journey towards Portland races across the mouth of the Deschutes River, with BNSF's Oregon Trunk visible in the foreground just beginning its long climb southward. In the distance just to the right of the white grain elevators, an eastbound UP intermodal train is just barely visible at Biggs.
