Here in Colorado, the best conditions for winter photography are often found well into spring... like the last day of April, for instance! Down in Denver it was mostly coming down as rain, but above Big Ten Curve it was all snow, and it sure was beautiful. My one year old daughter and I spent the afternoon out and about from Rocky, through Pinecliffe, and on up the unpaved and unplowed Rollins Pass Rd where the snow was coming down hard. She was a champ, and we had a good time playing in the snow and taking in the scenery between trains. With a few good photos as souvenirs, it was a railfanning weekend I will long remember.
