Remarks & Notes
Swiss railfans are chasing the trains on the Pajares pass line over the cantabrian mountains. A new double track 25 kilometer long base tunnel will probably soon make obsolet the line over the pass. The variable gauge Talgo train of the 130 series from Bombardier and Talgo, called "Patito", is running as Alvia 4141 service from Madrid Chamartin to Gijón, near Villanueva de la Tercia on the south side of the Pajares pass.
