After catching NS 926 a few days earlier with one of Norfolk Southern's SD70ACU rebuilds trailing in the consist, I figured I had better keep a lookout over the next few days to catch the northbound return when the unit would be leading. Just two days later, I was excited to hear northbound NS 927 on the scanner, as I figured the "new" unit would be leading. Unfortunately as the train came into view, I soon realized that NS had decided to stick an SD70M in the lead, with 7319 again trailing. Oh well. In this hobby, you've just got to take what you can get. NS 927 is seen here ducking under the soon-to-be-replaced Southern Railway signal bridge at the MP 323 after changing crews only a few minutes earlier.
