Translohr "tramway", rolling on rubber tires and guided by a central rail, rolling though the streets of Clermont-Ferrand since 2006. Critics say, that this system combines the disadvantages of tramway and trolley bus. The operation costs are significant higher then this of a conventional tram system, the rubber tires have to be changed about 2 times a year. Vehicle # 12 is ready to start the run through the town in the end station of Les Vergnes, in the foreground a special switch.
