With a departure from Kearney, New Jersey in the wee hours of the morning, Conrail train TV-171, the southbound Orange Blossom Special usually arrived in Philadelphia just after first light. As a run-through over the RF&P, an RF&P leader was required to be compatible with the RF&P signal system. Here TV171 crosses the former Reading arch bridge over the Schuylkill River at Belmont, with the historical Belmont Waterworks in the background.
