A Union Pacific freight is about to hit the diamonds on the UP-ATSF crossing in Stockton, California, on March 7th, 1992. This trackage, the former Western Pacific line, leads to the old WP yard in Stockton. The Southern Pacific's mainline, parallel to the WP's, is just out of this image to the left. At some point after the UP acquired the SP in 1996, this old WP line was removed.
