Remarks & Notes
Union Pacific Railroad suffered a derailment of a loaded Bakken Oil train at Mosier, OR on June 3rd which shut down their route through the Columbia River Gorge for two days. There were no injuries to the train crew or public. As a result UPRR detoured several trains per day via BNSF's Fallbridge sub between Pasco, WA and Portland, OR. UP's hot westbound Z train is seen passing through the last of 4 tunnels near the Lyle rest area at milepost 82 on a beautiful late spring evening with temperatures touching 100 degrees.
