CNW 1041 sits at Altoona between assignments. The unit is a "Baldwin half-breed" VO-1000M, originally built in March 1945 and re-engined by EMD in April 1960 and given an SW hood. The unit continued to serve CNW until February 4, 1980, not a bad life span.
