The most popular locomotive EMD has ever produced, the SD40-2, leads a northbound mixed freight train through the signals at Standing Rock. This particular one is in CSX's blue and gold paint scheme. Other railroads also purchased this reliable 3,000 horsepower beast. It's nice to still see these old engines roaming the rails in a land of wide-cab GEs.
