| Conrail ME-2 crosses the Raritan River on a beautiful summer afternoon with 11 cars plus the usual caboose in tow. The covered hoppers are most likely destined for the Delco Lead in New Brunswick where ME-2 is headed in this view. Apparently 11 cars is about the maximum I could capture in the frame from this particular location. ME-2 is a Metuchen-based local that serves the few freight customers that remain along Amtrak's Northeast Corridor in New Jersey. |
