The Ringling Bro. & Barnum & Bailey Circus train heads west into the setting sun as it begins the steep 1.5% grade of Yampai Hill at Pica. Gravity begins to fight against the three GE locomotives and their 5328 ton train on the eastern slope of the hill. After that, it is down hill into Needles. From there, a new crew will take the train across the Mojave Desert at night and will work up the Central Valley to Fresno, CA for the circus' next show.
