Remarks & Notes

A large Montana Rail Link work train, which includes empty ballast cars to be loaded at Spire Rock, follows the curving bank of the Jefferson River west of Sappington, Montana, on July 26, 2016. Two MRL SD40s (rebuilt and labeled SD40-2XRs) Nos. 257 and 264 power the westbound train traveling on a scenic Fifth Subdivision.
