As part of the Hamburg, Michigan Family Fun Fest summer festival, the Steam Railroading Institute in cooperation with the Great Lakes Central offered "push-pull" steam train rides during the event. GLC 398 led all the eastbound trains, with Pere Marquette 2-8-4 1225 on the other end of the train. With a clean stack and approaching Hall Road, the 1225 has the westbound 4pm train well in hand.
The Van Swearingen Brothers standarized freight power for their railroads with nearly identical 2-8-4 Berkshires. Two of these engines are still in excursion service.
