| There are few dull moments on Union Pacific's historic 'Overland Route' across southern Wyoming. Case in point finds a westbound Union Pacific manifest approaching the Union Switch & Signal searchlight installation at Hermosa on main track #1. In a few moments UP 5378 will meet a hotshot Z train on main track #3. Union Pacific's Laramie Subdivision between Laramie and Cheyennne, WY is mostly a triple track railroad, sans for a brief stretch of double track between Hermosa and Dale Junction in which the railroad passes through Hermosa Tunnels. |
