Remarks & Notes |
WW 576 switches out sand cars at a siding along the aptly-named Railroad Avenue. This was formerly the CNJ Cumberland & Maurice River Branch. The line was purchased from Conrail by the WW in 1986 to preserve service to parent Unimin Corporation's sand facilities. WW 576 was built as Bangor & Aroostook GP9 76. This unit later served as Green Mountain 1848. WW's shop lowered the short hood and rebuilt the unit as a GP10. |
