Columbia Terminal Railroad GP7 2001 has just brought the Columbia Star Dinner Train back to the "station" (in actuality the parking lot of Columbia Terminal COLT Transload Facility), and has cut off from the train. CESX F7A 1950 is on the train's rear, and will back the train into the facility once the GP has been switched to an adjacent track. CT 2001 as built by EMD in January 1952 as Santa Fe GP7 2705. The ATSF later renumbered it 2147, and later yet rebuilt it into GP7u 1343 (chopping the nose and adding a "Topeka" cab in the process). With the merger that created the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, this engine was renumbered BNSF 1343. The BNSF later sold it to the CT, which painted in a Wabash Railroad-inspired paint scheme.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
