BN 8158 leads a post-merger consist out of the sag between Chalender and Williams Jct. The 5262, an SDF-40-2 second out, is interesting. Originally an Amtrak SDP-40F, these units demonstrated a tendency to derail at passenger train speeds on anything less than Santa Fe's impeccable roadbed. AT&SF picked several of them up in a power swap with Amtrak and they performed well in freight service until their retirement in 2002.
