Remarks & Notes |
Seemingly a hundred miles out into the Southern Colorado prairie, in a tiny ghost town known of by few called Delhi, stands the last wig-wag on a class one mainline in the United States. On this morning, Amtrak's southbound Southwest Chief zips past Delhi as it heads for its ultimate location of Las Angeles. The wig-wag is a former Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe relic that dates back to the earliest portion of the 1900's and guards a small dirt road that was once the location of the original Santa Fe trail. |
