| New England Central Railroad's 323X-24 - the Carnival Express - train that is hauling equipment for the James E. Strates Carnival, crests the summit of the ex-Central Vermont Roxbury Grade as NECR SD40-2 3405 and GP40-2W 3015 lead the 42-car (26 loads/15 empties - some equipment trucked from Buffalo to Burlington ahead of the train movement) train through the tight valley and 'downtown' Roxbury on August 24. |
