The silence of Grand Canyon National Park's dense forest is broken as the sharp barks of steam locomotive stacks fill the air. On the point of this morning's 13-car, Train No. 2 is GCRY 29 and 4960 - leading this extra long train in part of the National Park Services' 100th Anniversary.
Brought back to life specifically for this anniversary, GCRY 29 had been dormant for many years both at the railway's Williams and South Rim depots before being brought back the shops in Williams for its rebuild. |
