NJ Transit 4101 was one of thirteen GP40P's that were built in October, 1968 for the Central Railroad of New Jersey (CNJ). It started life as CNJ GP40P #3672, and was was rebuilt by Conrail in 1991-92 as NJTR 4101. The 4101, and it's sister, 4100, are the only two remaining Ex. CNJ locomotives remaining in revenue passenger service on the rails of NJ Transit. The engine can be seen here leading Bergen County Line train 1875 over the Saddle River through the "S-Curve" at Garfield, NJ.
