Remarks & Notes
Descending the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains between Clay and Rocky, Colorado, is a Burlington Northern Santa Fe coal train on Union Pacific’s Moffat Tunnel Subdivision, on June 18, 2001. The head end of the eastbound train is approaching the west switch at Rocky, while lone DPU (SD70MAC No. 8864) has just departed the east switch at Clay. The rest of the train is looped through Big 10 Curve, including a three-unit SD70MAC mid-train DPU.
