Remarks & Notes |
Frisco 1630 heads out onto IRM’s mainline during the annual Museum Showcase Weekend. IRM operates trains over approximately four miles of track on a former interurban line. The line is signaled, electrified, and has a passing siding for multiple train operation. The 1630 was built by Baldwin in 1918 and was intended for use in Russia, but was never delivered and wound up on the Frisco. The first two cars behind the 1630 are a former milk car which now serves as an auxiliary water car and a former Milwaukee Road dynamometer car. |
