A venerable Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 glides silently past a PRR Maintenance-of-Way truck as it pulls into the yard.
Actually, truck owner Ken Briers graciously drove this 1950 Ford F-1 up to Boonton, NJ from Choptank, MD to participate in Museum [for a day], the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey's annual event where the public is welcomed into the otherwise private restoration yard to view New Jersey's collection of historic rail equipment. The event is customarily preceeded by an intimate night photo shoot. For more information on the September 25, 2016 event, visit www.museumforaday.com.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
