SP 358, a superior workhorse for the terrain, leads a coal train along the Arkansas River at Granite, CO on the now forlorn Tennessee Pass Subdivision, not long before the line succumbed to a fate not unlike the neighboring Colorado Midland - the path for which is visible above the Rio Grande's grade. I, as many, severely miss operations along this stretch of railroad. For awhile I worked the agent's job at Minturn while on the Grande's Colorado Division extra list, and roomed at the crew hotel and beanery in Minturn with the sound of activity along this remarkable route an impressive presence.
