Remarks & Notes |
BNSF 1200 was one of two MK1200G locomotives delivered to the ATSF in 1994. The MK1200G was the most successful Natural Gas burning locomotive with a service life of 20 years, of which all were spent in the Los Angeles Basin. The final duty of the MK1200Gs was working on the BNSF subsidiary, the LA Jct. Railway, up until the locomotives were returned to MPI in 2004. Three of the four were scrapped with 1200 being the lone survivor. |
