The Washington & Idaho operates a former Northern Pacific/Burlington Northern branch south from Marshall, WA near Spokane through the Palouse country to Harvard and Moscow, ID. The line undulates through the rolling hills and wheat fields of the region. This train went on duty at McCoy and will take loaded propane cars to Belmont for storage, then return with other loads for interchange with BNSF. At 10 mph, even a short trip makes for a long day for the crews.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
