A view from my seat in the rear of dome-observation car “Strathcona Park” on VIA Rail No. 5 between Red Pass and Swiftwater, British Columbia, reveals the tallest mountain in the Canadian Rockies on August 7, 2016. Mount Robson stands at 3,954 meters (12,972 feet) high and the snowy summit is visible only about a dozen days a year.
