A mine run bound for the Buffalo Subdivision at Man departs Peach Creek Yard, rolling through the railroad town of Logan, WV on the directional double-track section between FD Cabin and SW Cabin east of town. At one time, the line was home to numerous coal movements from the Logan and Mingo County coalfields for transport across the country via the mainline from Columbus to Newport News, but with the continuous decline in coal use, as well as increased regulation by the EPA in recent years, the line is down to one or two trains a day. In the background, the Chesapeake & Ohio's former Logan Passenger Depot still stands, now owned by the City of Logan as their city building & fire department headquarters.
