The steam rotary Xrot d # 9214, built in 1912 by SLM as R # 1052 for the Bernina Railway, is turning the 2,5 meter (8,2 ft) wheel with up to 170 revolutions per minute. The steam came through the black hose on the ground from the locomotive G 3/3 # 5 ex LEB from 1890. The Xrot d # 9214 in Chamby is the sister of the still operational Xrot d # 9213 of the Rhaetian Railway based in Pontresina.
